On this tour you visit places closely related with the Pope’s life. In the Market Square of Wadowice, stands the Basilica of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Inside this church, in the Chapel of the Holy Family, stands the font where, on 20th May 1920, Karol Wojtyla, future Pope of the Roman Catholic Church who assumed the name of John Paul II, was baptized. We also go to see the Basilica and Culture and Landscape Complex of the Bernardine Monastery and Pilgrim’s Park in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska which has been a UNESCO World Culture and National Heritage Site since 2000.
