Jazz Juniors is the International Competition of Young Jazz Groups Jazz Juniors, held since 37 years in Rotunda Cultural Center in Krakow.

Every year at Jazz Juniors Competition young jazz talents emerge and then start their careers on the Polish and European jazz scene. This is a great part of the history of Polish jazz. At this particular event musical careers of such great artists like Leszek Mozdzer, brothers Pospieszalscy and Oles, Krzysztof Scieranski or bands Love and Walk Away began. Jazz Juniors is also one of the few opportunities in Krakow to hear the greatest jazz stars.
The program of events for the whole week is extremely rich and diverse. It will be inaugurated by a three-day marathon "BE4 - Visegrad Jazz & Visual Arts". In this project, co-musicians from the four Visegrad countries will take the classics of silent cinema, animation and advertising and give them a completely new, and often the first in their history, musical life. On December the 1st, the main program of Jazz Juniors will start. Traditionally, the most important element will be the contest. Young jazz musicians will be judged by a jury composed of Peter Beets, Jiri Sveda, Yaroslav Sartakov, John Sudzina. "Jazz Showcase"- the winners' concert will be held a day later (December the 2nd) in the concert studio of Radio Krakow. Among the festival concerts you may find themes like "Szymanowski meets Chopin" and "Chopin meets the blues". The festival will be accompanied by an exhibition of photographs of Marek Rokoszewski entitled "JAZZ EMOTIONS". The opening is on December the 1st at 11p.m. in Harris Piano Jazz Bar.
