On June 24th, the entire city of Cracow will burst into song! The guests of the celebration will include the General Consulates from other countries, like the Federal German Republic, the United States of America and the French Republic. On Juen 24th, from 4pm to 10pm, Chile celebrating Stolarska Street Day, you will surely feel the mood of these countries thanks to the varied program, which show not only presents the cultural richness of Germany, USA and France, but also, with the performance of Polish artists, the good relations connecting these countries with Cracow.

The German Consulate has invited the Karl die Grobe formation, originating for Cracow’s partner city of Leipzig, as well as Rafal Dziwisz, who keeps the schedule of his show a secret from the crowd. The artisit’s fan are surely excited to hear the emotional renditions of songs by such timeless artists as B. Brecht, M. Dietrich and Ch. Aznavour.

Meanwhile, the French Consualate can offer a few scenes from „The Littre Prince” performed by the STU theatre and a concert from the laureates of the Cracovian Youth Festival of French songs, arrivivng from every region of Poland.

Stan Breckenridge and his boys – a charismatic jazz and blues master, who fell in love with Poland will perform on the stage nearby the Father Dominican Monastery, by the invitation from the USA Consulate. Another American artist coming to this event is Mario Gonzalez Jr. “ZORE”, who was born in Chicago and will come to Cracow along with his daughter. Together they will present the varied hip-hop culture with their performance of breakdance and hip-hop, as well as their graffiti paintings.

Between the artists invited by the General Consulates, the audience will also get a chance see performances from artists invited by the Cracow Festival Information Centre, including the English artist Karl Culley, currently living in Cracow, and another performer yet to be announced. Thanks to all these attractions, the Stolarska street day festival will be interesting, international and colorful!

Another visually thrilling attraction the is “Captured Jerusalem” exposition, which will be organized by the “Jewish Culture Festival” association and Ecole Biblique et Archeologique Francaise de Jerulasem, in collaboration with the General Consulate of the French Republic in Cracow and the Cracow French Institute. Although the exposition opens on June 25th, the people who come to the Wreath Day – the Festival of Music will already be able to admire photos of Jerusalem one day earlier. These photos are part of the collection of the exposition French co-manager. The photos were shot by Dominicans in the early 20th century, in various photographic techniques and most of them were never before presented in Poland. The exhibition will be held in the ambulatory of Cracow’s Dominican Fathers Monastery.

People will also have a chance to admire beautiful images in the sky. At 10.45 pm the firmament will be full of colorful fireworks during the spectacular pyrotechnic show. The most comfortable place to see this show is at the Czerwienski Bulwar.
