The Krakow Aviation Museum took over a few buildings and part of the grounds of the Rakowice-Czyzyny airfield, one of the oldest military airfields in Europe. Formed at Czyzyny in 1964, the museum preserves and exhibits aircraft, engines and other items of importance to the world's aviation heritage and these form a premier European collection.

Every fan of aviation should definitely visit this museum. Some of the aircraft presented in the museum are unique in the world. Among those, one can see the only one still existing PZL P11c fighter, author of the first air combat of the Second World War.
