Church of St Florian is situated on the corner of Matejko Square and Warszawska Street. According to the legend, exactly here oxes carrying the relics of Saint Florian stopped and did not move until the decision to build the church here was made.

Works started in 1184, construction was funded by King Kazimierz II the Just. Church burnt down in 1306 and since then was rebuilt many times. Today's Baroque appearance comes from the second half of the 17th century with some details from remodeling in the 18th and 19th century.
