Stary (Old) Theatre

Old Theatre in Krakow is really old. First performance took place here in 1781 and it was a French comedy. By the end of the 18th century this theatre raised almost to the name of national theatre. During the 19th century it performed across European capitals and gained fantastic fame.

Krakow Philharmonic

The building was completed in 1931 as Catholic House according to the design by Jozef Pokutynski. The main initiator of the building was Prince Adam Cardinal Sapieha. The initiators of the building were guided by a famous building of a similar use - Maison du Peuple in Brussels designed in 1897 by Viktor Hort.

Panga Pank Theatre

Panga Pank Theatre has been established by Anka Wierzchowska Wozniak and Lukasz Wozniak in 2003. The name comes from a certain beautiful place in Estonia. Theatre is in constant collaboration with Stary Theatre in Krakow, TR Warszawa and K. Warlikowski’s Nowy Teatr in Warsaw.

Groteska Theatre

The Groteska Puppet, Mask and Actor Theatre in Krakow is one of the earliest and the most renowned puppet theatres in Poland. It was founded in 1945 by outstanding theatre artists Zofia and Wladyslaw Jarema - stage directors and pioneers of the modern concept of puppet art and artistic theatre in post-war Poland.

Cricoteka Theatre

Cricoteka, Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor was founded by Tadeusz Kantor as early as in 1980, at first as the Centre of Cricot 2 Theatre at 5, Kanonicza Street (now the seat of the Archives of the Centre).

Bagatela Theatre

Bagatela Theatre is located at the corner of Karmelicka and Krupnicza Streets in the very centre of Krakow. Theatre was opened in 1918 by Marian Dabrowski – famous publisher in Krakow. After modernization in 1938 it became most elegant theatre in the city.
