The Palace of Arts at 4 Szczepanski Square was erected in the Old Town historic district, in 1901 for the Society of Fine Arts Friends entirely in Art Nouveau style.

It represents itself as a temple of Apollo, patron of the Arts, whose head hovers in a burst of light over the main door. The rich exterior portrays Faith, Hope and Love on one side, Doubt, Despair and Pain on the other. Sculpture busts in the niches of side walls immortalize noted Krakow artists of the turn of the 20th century.

Opening hours: daily 8.15am-6pm.
