Airport is located in village Balice – just outside western administrative border of Krakow City, 15 km from the centre. It is named after Pope John Paul II and today is second biggest in Poland in terms of number of passengers after Okecie Airport in Warsaw.

Polish rail network is pretty well developed and Krakow is its important point. There are a couple of stations in Krakow: Krakow-Business Park (Zabierzow), Lobzow, Plaszow and Krakow Glowny (Main Station) – the only one which actually matters, especially for tourists visiting the city.
